About
David Duarte -
I’m a Los Angeles–based Production Designer and Art Director working across commercials, music videos, film, and narrative projects. I create visually grounded, story-driven environments that support character, performance, tone, and brand identity.
I collaborate with directors, agencies, and production teams from initial concept through execution, combining a strong design sensibility with hands-on experience across every stage of production. My commercial work includes projects for Castrol, Door Dash, Pizza Hut, Nissan, Old Spice, Doritos, and Burger King, while my music work includes projects with Silversun Pickups, Childish Gambino, John Mayer, and Rich Brian.
Recent narrative credits include I Love Boosters (2026) and Focker In-Law (2026). I’m also currently working on the Daniels’ latest project, scheduled for release in November 2027.
Before moving into Production Design and Art Direction, I spent years working as a Leadman on large-scale film and television productions, including the Academy Award–winning Everything Everywhere All at Once. That experience continues to inform my approach: creatively ambitious, highly collaborative, and grounded in a practical understanding of how ideas are built, dressed, and photographed.
My work has contributed to award-winning films and festival premieres including Swiss Army Man, Clemency, and the Showtime documentary Sheryl.
I am a member of the Art Directors Guild and based in Los Angeles.
