Production Designer // Art Director
In a special effects shop in Hollywood, CA is where David began his career in the film business. After the shop, he began as an Art PA in commercials and music videos. Applying his background in photography, David’s attention to detail has guided him through 18+ years to eventually becoming a Leadman in TV, various commercials, music videos and print campaigns; Apple, Nike, Kitchen Aid, Best Buy, Spotify, Wells Fargo and Delta Airlines to name a few. His last Leadman role was on the Daniels feature film, Everything Everywhere All at Once(2022), which received eleven 2023 Oscar nominations and 7 wins including Best Picture.
Those years as a Leadman have propelled David to the next step in his career. Now as an Art Director & Production Designer, he’s continued to work on commercials and music videos; Rich Brian’s Sundance Freestyle, Childish Gambino’s This Is America, John Mayer’s Last Train Home, Burger King featuring Nelly and Skittles are on the list.
His accomplishments as an Art Director have also been featured at Sundance on award winning films; Swiss Army Man (2016) which won for Best Director in the US Dramatic category and Clemency (2019) which won the U.S. Grand Jury Prize in the Drama Category. The Showtime Sheryl Crow Documentary, SHERYL(2022) which premiered at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival has also been well received. David is member of the Art Directors Guild.
